lolli_pop
Hello again, I am trying my best to decide, but not doing well, haha! Does anyone else have any ideas? In the Lake District, you could try the Westmorland Hotel between Penrith and Kendal - the junior suites are in your price range and they are very nice with huge comfy beds and with fantastic views over the fells. Plus there's an open fire in the bar and it's easy to get out and about for sightseeing.
Rupert_Baehr
You could always try one of the 'discounted hotels' websites. (Such as hotels.com) Find an hotel that looks good, is offered at an attractive price and then search for reviews of that hotel. (Tripadvisor.com is one source of reviews - but there are plenty of others.)

mrs brady
does is have to be in the west. I stayed in a beautiful place , last year , sounds just like what youy're after. It's in between Bridlington & Whitby on the coast , log fire , romantic etc. I'll try and find it. Think it was just under a ton a night too. Jonny5
http://www.woolpack.co.uk/ Ignore bad comments from pre 2011. It used to be a right shed but its been done up earlier this year to a high standard. Good food & beer and the best location in the Lakes. No log fire but a terrific place. Nataliie
http://www.forestholidays.co.uk/cabins.aspx I looove forest holidays, you have a gorgeous cabin that isn't next to people, with a hot tub and lovely walks and areas to explore all around you. You can get a cabin for around £200 per week, and is a really nice break. It's one of my favourite places in England, and they have them in different places.
