Israel can't compete against a 56 Islamic nation bloc rich in Oil that trades it for votes. Additionally, they have other 'means' to influence the votes. Diplomats in the UN said their support for the Palestinian statehood bid stems from fear of revenge from Muslim and Arab nations loyal to the Palestinian cause. They were living on land that they owned, as well as inhabited for centuries/millennia. The area of land was not a country and the UN decided to create two countries. 'palestine' and Israel. The Arabs weren't happy with their designated 78%, they wanted 100% and went to war - they lost. Tough luck. The Mexicans went to war with the US. Well, all of them - considering they came from Mecca/Medina whichever part of the Qu'ran you wish to start from. Raped and pillaged large chunks of the globe.
