sccsux
are you pushing for Australia now? Nah. I've been there, and back and still maintain that no one can own transmissions through the air.
L00b
Nah. I've been there, and back and still maintain that no one can own transmissions through the air.OK, whatever. You've made your non-point.
sccsux
OK, whatever. You've made your non-point. From the page you linked to: Most countries consider RF spectrum as an exclusive property of the state. The operative word being "consider", which doesn't make it true. No one owns land, air or sea, we may like to convince ourselves otherwise, but when we are all long gone, the land, air and sea will still be there, so who will own them then? Ian Dome
so by your logic, do you believe anyone has a right to fly a plane any time and any where?
L00b
From the page you linked to...it also says 'property of the State'. Now what? I don't play semantics ping-pong, sccsux. I've posted all I wanted to post.
alchresearch
I think all these threads have run their course now. I'd be interested to know how many genuine SF members (that's ones who have been members quite a while and haven't just signed up to post on these Middle East threads and very little else) are affected or really care about the situation. sccsux
...it also says 'property of the State'. Which is incorrect (as far as I'm concerned) as it is impossible to own air. Which is where I came in.

Jeffrey Shaw
No one owns land, air or sea, we may like to convince ourselves otherwise, but when we are all long gone, the land, air and sea will still be there, so who will own them then? The Crown does and will, in the UK at least. See my earlier post on this point.
