I think I was watching a show called "Scene at Sx Thirty" a forerunner of Calendar presented by Mike Scott and an Irish guy Gay Byrne.
xfox3x
I was standing next to the gas cooker waiting for my mum to put scrambled egg on my plate and my dad shouted through to the kitchen to tell us. I was only about 9 at the time and didn't understand the import of it.
hillsbro
i was sat watching bonanza when it suddenly went to a news bulletin that jfk had been shot. can you remember what you were doing and how you heard? Whoosh77
I was with friends at a youth club/dance at the old Wharncliffe Side School (now demolished) when someone came him and told us that President Kennedy had been assassinated. I can't forget either that when his brother Bobby was assassinated I was in Innsbruck, Austria, on holiday.
