Picasso clutch pedal problem

Hi all

I have a Citroen Picasso and there is a problem with the clutch. Apparently, on a RHD model, the clutch pedal is connected to a rod that goes to the master cylinder by a bit of plastic - this has snapped. I need to replace this or get it replaced.

I reckon that this must be a common problem as I seem to remember a friend of mine having a similar issue a few years back. The problem shows itself as the pedal staying on the floor of the car and the clutch not operating.

Anyone else had a similar issue and did they manage to fix it themselves or, if they took it to the garage, how much did it cost?

Car is a Citroen Picasso Diesel (2004) with hydraulic clutch.

Cheers
