chem1st
I need change, nothing worse than breaking into a £20 note when you need a loaf of bread. You won't be doing that much longer!
rickiethecat
I'm happy with things the way they are. It's not that I think the politicians are doing a good job, regardless of which party they represent they're a bunch of incompetent dishonest clowns, but which party is in power doesn't really have any effect on the quality of my life. HeadingNorth
But usually with the votes of less than 30% of the electorate. Is that not a reason to change? The only way that can change is if we pass a law to make voting mandatory. Many people just don't care who gets to form a Government.
Supertramp
Ban political parties. Or a maximum budget on their campaigns so independents can compete. Ban whips in parliament. Reduce the size of parliament.

Ban political parties. Or a maximum budget on their campaigns so independents can compete. Ban whips in parliament. Reduce the size of parliament. Are these not reasons why we need a more fundamental change? The only way that can change is if we pass a law to make voting mandatory. Many people just don't care who gets to form a Government. I used to think that, but I had a better idea. Instead of penalising people who do not vote, reward those that do. Carrot instead of stick. Same net result, but a heck of a lot easier to administrate, and probably less controversial.
