Almost one in four (23.9 per cent) women in Britain are classed as obese, far worse than the rest of Western Europe. Regarding the former, this is not surprising. I was talking to a school friend about this the other day and we both observed how there were hardly any young overweight, never mind obese people, when we were nippers.
