If you post in the suggestions and feedback section, your thread has to be approved by the Mods before it appears. I moderate on another forum and new posters can be put on "moderator approval" if it looks like there's something suspicious about them (maybe a banned member rejoining under a different name). In such cases, their threads need to be set to visible by a member of the moderating team. The same thing can be applied to posts as well, it's just a different setting that is ticked. Sometimes all individual posts by a member are temporarily set to "approval required" if someone is obviously posting while drunk or just plain old trolling.
