The festival dates back at least five thousand years before the Christian Church, who merely hijacked it and stamped their own name on it. The celebration, the feasting, the tree and the giving of gifts are all non-Christian - and to most people in Britain, that's the whole of Christmas. All it now is a money making racket and an excuse to have a p..s up ! If not for schools educating children about religion, they wouldnt know what the so called celebration was about.
