Albet
I have worked in industry for many years. I have always worked full time and always had 25days + 8 stats ...or more, annual holidays. I have now been offered a new position however where the entitlement is only 20 days plus 8 stats. Do some people really have so few holidays? dawny1970
could be worse, in America they get no holidays for their first year, and after that, they get 10 days plus holidays!! Most people get 20 + 8, you were just lucky to get 25 days
BettyBooHoo!
I work 3 days per week (the stat hols at my firm are pro-rata for part time as bank hols are normal working days for us). In total I get 7 weeks hol per year (21 days).
nikki-red
Minimum holiday entitlement is 5.6 times your working week. I work 4 days, so get 22.4 days holiday. Your employer can decide if bank holidays etc come out of your entitlement http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Employees/Timeoffandholidays/DG_10029788

BettyBooHoo!
I could live with 7 weeks holiday. You'd think so wouldn't you? However I always seem to be waiting for next years entitlement to come round!
