Jim Hardie
I always miss 'Woolworths' this time of year, does anyone else? I miss the Woolworths of old when they had rows of display counters with dozens of sales assistants behind them. For the last twenty odd years of their existence they were dire. I went in a smallish one in Penzance four or five years ago and came out feeling depressed. Half an hour later a bloke cut his own throat in there and died. What a place to end it all. HTM_1983
I used to love shopping in Woolworths - the ones on Parkway near Morrisons still has the sign up! I think I miss it more at Easter than as Christmas though - they were always the best place for easter eggs I keep forgetting they are online now http://www.woolworths.co.uk/
Resident
Not really. The name "Woolworths" may have gone from the High Street but the shops selling the same old tat that they did are still there. Most of em are called B&M
