liam1412
I might be being a little cynical here, but the Government held their hands up last year and admitted that they had calculated tax wrong over a number of years and were issuing refunds. The first lot came this time last year, just in time for people to spend at Christmas. Lo and behold this morning a letter arrives re the 2005 - 2006, and 2007 - 2008 tax years, refund of 500 knicker in total. With the economy as it is does anyone else thing the timing maybe planned, to get people to spend the cash rather than lay it away, like people might be tempted to at a different time of year. If it is I think it is pretty clever, and maybe a good way to try and boost the economy! Maybe just me!
