Jesus was Jewish, so God must be Jewish

Absolutely right, and neither do you, nor anyone else. Souls do not exist.

I do believe in mankind.

It really does seem like the kind of speech some stupid alien would give in Star Trek.

No ambition then Jim Lad?

Never mind, Long John will look after 'ee, he he.

Apart from death, life is absurd.

"Absurdism is a philosophical school of thought stating that the efforts of humanity to find inherent meaning will ultimately fail (and hence are absurd)"

That describes atheism, religion however provides the answer and is therefore, unlike atheism, not absurd. :)

Nonsense.

One can't explain or understand something, be it X Y or Z. So your answer is to attribute it to the input or will of some entity for which there is no evidence at all.

And you don't think that's absurd, but you think that someone who tries to provide an answer through research and investigation is absurd?

I think scientific research is very valuable but as far as the meaning of life is concerned it isn't something you can put into a test tube is it? Neither can science which is about matter provide for our emotional needs.

Just to add that this is what Dawkins and Co. would like to do which makes them look like a bunch of idiots.

No you hope religion provides the answer. But if it is, then what is the purpose of God?
