I know many that have used logic to come to the conclusion that there's no point looking for a first cause, because there can be no such thing. It is believers, like yourself, who insist that there must be a first cause, and then claim that there doesn't have to be one because God doesn't need a cause. Atheists don't insist on anything for God, since they believe he exists to begin with! The point you are repeatedly missing is that your argument demands that things must have a cause, and then contradicts itself by claiming that God does not require a cause. The atheist argument simply says, things do not require a cause, the Universe exists, and that is that. Nothing is left unexplained, so there is no reason to invoke God to explain anything. The point behind them asking who made God, is to expose the contradiction in your argument that things must have been created.
