MrSmith
What caused the Big Bang? The big bang is a change in the state of the universe and no one knows what caused it other than it started to expand.
sccsux
They say the universe just "happened" yet they insist on a first cause for God. Only when dealing with religious nuts that insist everything needs a creator with the exception of their deity.
Agbus
They insist on YOU providing a first cause for God because YOUR position is that things cannot exist without a cause! Their own position doesn't require God to exist in the first place, so discussion of what caused him is irrelevant. Things don't happen without a reason and you know that. HeadingNorth
Silly? Why? It's what we call faith. "Everything needs a creator, or a cause. This doesn't apply to God" I think it's a perfectly understandable point of view. It's a perfectly understandable logical contradiction, and a completely useless position from which to try to persuade others. Aqbus is not merely engaged in telling us what he believes; he's trying to prove that what he believes has logical merit, and that believing otherwise is illogical. He is utterly wrong. HeadingNorth
Things don't happen without a reason and you know that. You continue to make this assertion while simultaneously denying it. Unless you either admit that God cannot exist without a cause, or admit that the claim things cannot exist without a cause is false, then your position is ridiculous.
