MrSmith
Because that would negate the need for a deity. Why would it?
Chris_Sleeps
If the universe does not need a first cause why would God? If the universe does not need a first cause, then there is no reason for God. If the universe does need a first cause, then there is a reason for God, and thus God would need a first cause. The First Cause argument is so weak I'm suprised that we're wasting our time with it. It's been dead for centuries.

sccsux
Why would it? If the universe exists without the need for a creator, then there is no need for a creator (god).

Agbus
What is God, it doesn't exist. So what made the universe?
MrSmith
So not everything needs a cause? So God doesn't need a cause? God can be the creator who didn't need a creator and who created the universe? What is God? It doesn't exist; I could make another word up like msjudh it must also exist because it doesn't need a cause.
