Israel faces legal challenge over block on Palestinians

Recommended Posts

Withdraw to the 1967 borders and stop murdering civilians.

Allow freedom of movement in and out of Gaza, get out of the west bank and stop being idiots.

Not that it'll matter in the next few years anyway.

The US has armed Egypt and a very anti Israeli government is about to come to power.

I can see the Egypt/Gaza border being opened in short order.

There's also the potential for a combined Arab countries attack on Israel because of that probable shift in the balance of power. The US needs oil and I can see that grate nation being forced to pressure Israel into accepting change to avoid a war.

No - I didn't mean "Great".

Remind me, why did Israel cross the 1967 borders?

Yes. CXC3000 is nothing if not obsessively predictable when it comes to Israel.

Even if Israel's government was all nice and fluffy, Israel's very existence would still be unacceptable for the likes of CXC3000 and the non-Muslim left wing; the 20-odd Arabs states nearby just don't want a Jewish state in the region full stop, and even though Israel is democratic and tolerant, (two things its Arab neighbours aren't) the non-Muslim left are against what to them is a transplanted European colonial power, backed by the US.

I think you'll find the rockets are fired into illegally occupied land (UN resolutions a plenty supporting this), not Israel.

so Sderot and Ashkelon (the towns where most of the Gaza rockets are fired at) is 'illegally ocupied land' is it? I don't suppose you'd care to name these 'UN resolutions a plenty' that say this?

The UN says Israel is an occupying force on Palestinian land and has a large number of resolutions against Israel for crimes of occupation.

notice how they never name any of them. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, after which the number of rockets fired on Israel from Gaza INcreased, dramatically.

Withdraw to the 1967 borders.

it wasn't a border and the Arabs never recognised it as being any border as they didn't recognise Israel itself. All it was is the 1949 Armistice line. Final status borders are to be established as part of a future peace deal as laid out in UNSCR 242, one of the very same resolutions people like you use to claim - falsely - that Israel is illegally 'occupying' land when it is not.

No - The yanks block that but the fact Israel illegally occupies vast chunks of Arab land is seen as a breaking of international law.

see above. Again, notice how they never name these so-called 'international' laws.

So Palestinians who choose to terrorise Israel with rockets launched from their homes - once they receive the IDF payback, they can then sue?!

LOL.

They need to face up to it, they're at war. They voted Hamas, Hamas are sworn to Israels destruction, it can be argued the whole of Gaza is committed to war with Israel.

Get what they deserve.

The terrorists are on the zionist side and certainly not on the palestinian's.

We all know who are the victims: those who live under the last colonial system in the world.
