Cyclone
plenty to stop them. air base in place 5000 troops nuke subs british guts and a lust for blood Imaginary troops? The total deployment is about 500 personnel made up of a roulement infantry company, an engineer squadron, a signals unit (part of the Joint Communications Unit - see below), a logistics group and supporting services.[18][19][20] How many combat troops is that, 100, 150? Balpin
Hardly... As soon as we retire they will be back in. They will also release their hidden troops in europe, and that will be it.
MrMoran
Imaginary troops? How many combat troops is that, 100, 150? Thats all it would take. The Argies dont have the training, the kit or the guts to try it on again. If they do, and i really hope they dont but if they do they will have their Arris handed to them on a silver platter. Cyclone
It's nice that you've got such a high level of confidence in our troops, they are well trained and equipped, but numbers count for a lot, and 500 (even if they were all infantry and not support) isn't really that many. Agent Orange
As soon as we retire they will be back in. They will also release their hidden troops in europe, and that will be it. I shall await that day. Excuse me for not holding my breath though It's nice that you've got such a high level of confidence in our troops, they are well trained and equipped, but numbers count for a lot, and 500 (even if they were all infantry and not support) isn't really that many. How do you propose Argentina get their troops onto the Falklands?
MrSmith
Imaginary troops? How many combat troops is that, 100, 150? Just a point of interest was communication engineer in the navy and on several occasion I beat the members of the marines in shooting and infantry competitions, we were all trained to fight regardless of our main job. Exactly, all troops are trained to fight first before they go on to their specialist training. All troops, regardless of what they do, are trained to fight. To think otherwise is pure ignorance.
