Falkland Islands Tension increase

Recommended Posts

There are 3000 people on the islands, whose presence are threatening stability in the area.I would buyout each person with £250,000 or £750 million funded by oil revenues. One half of the island would be set aside for their exclusive use,the rest being ceded to Argentina. The land would be state owned.

Do you and your imperialist friends have any better ideas?

Will you now answer my question, please,Mister Prim?

My name is John Prime, formerly of Glenholme Way, now of Paddington. Who are you? You're clearly not called gnvogos.

Wow, I took you seriously until this, a ridiculous Socialist Wonker caricature reply!

The only person threatening stability is Conquistador Barbie, are you going to tell her to evacuate South America and return to Spain? Their brand of imperialism was a touch more brutal than ours or should I say that of the British as you clearly consider yourself an internationalist whilst being nothing of the sort.

I'm a democrat and the people of the Falklands Islands vote no which makes you and your actual imperialist friend dictators. The ball is back in your court, what was the term your friend Lenin used, useful idiot?

Imperialism was all the rage in the 19th century so the British did nothing unusual and only unseated an Argentinian imperialist garrison, not a load of nuns. War is the natural state of humanity and even you and your leftie friends love class war so nobody is above it.

Do you have any seconders to your view on this forum or in the country outside your phone box leftie meetings? I know I do.

Yes leave the decision to the people that matter and they live on the islands.

Well Mr Prim,I think alone and do not need a seconder .I am reminded of Neil Kinnocks words when you use such vitriol.I do not think you can allow the wishes of 3000 dictate the foreign policy of the UK.Imperialism is still at work albeit in a more subtle form, without the naked aggression of the C19th.I do not know why you post your previous address and even give details of a name, which sounds as fictitious as any on SF.Did you used to read the Socialist Worker?I imagined you somehow as being too young-perhaps youread some from Dads stash?

You call me by a 'comedy' name so I responded by pointing out that you call yourself gnbvgos while I use my actual name. Silly boy.

Vitriol? You're the individual angrily demanding whether me and my imperialist friends have any better ideas!

You're right, 3000 people can't dictate foreign policy, add 60 million to that e.g. the population of the UK since your views have no traction in the land.

The socialist worker lot were notorious at my university and you read just like them, your friend or is it alter ego? Mecky does too.

You don't need a seconder? Fine, most people without one would feel embarrassed and quietly withdraw from the debate.

We should just let the Argies have the Falklands. Our government have given England to Eastern Europeans, Asians and people from God knows how many other countries , yet thay will not let the Argies have the Falklands. Seems like double standards and hypocricy to me.

If you were at university with the socialist worker lot what were you doing to oppose them?I have never met anyone called Prime so I assumed it was a joke name .Nor do I know anything about Glenholme Way,except it was in the bland suburb, Stradbrook. There are no Primes in my London Whos Who except for Penelope Prime so I think you are a work of fiction, especially as there no Primes in Sheffield either.Do you work for MFI?

Sorry Sherlock, try Linkedin.

What an odd question, I simply ignored or criticised the socialist worker lot in debates, what did you think I did? Brought a rocket launcher into the union bar?

Never mind that, you've got an opinion that is hopelessly unpopular that nobidy sane in the UK would support. You haven't been able to do much to defend it so I guess you'll admit it is a ridiculous one or you will convince us all?

May I ask which political movement you belonged to?I do think you will find some support for my opinions, and remember forward thinking people can suffer temporary unpopularity.I expect you did oppose homosexual expression womens' rights etc.when you were a right-wing student but I expect you have moved forward and become a little more tolerant as you have calmed down. The rocket launcher crack is quite funny and some people

would prefer to use force rather than engage in constructive debate.Would you be willing to fight to retain the Falkland Islands?I expect you arenow a fraction too old, making it easier to pontificate.
