Urgent Fury
Actually, not remotely worth doing. The law of double jeopardy does not allow them to be tried again for the same crime - unless significant new evidence appears. There is none. It's worth doing to highlight the anger of the public. This is an absolute disgrace and only goes to reinforce the belief that there are double standards going on.
MrMoran
Judgements such as this one and others drive people to the BNP etc. Really:suspect: Tell me more.
Ian Dome
There is also this option (just read elsewhere (hey, don't shoot the messenger)) contact the attorney generals office - Unduly leniant sentences, and ask for a review, citing Part IV of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and specifically the Reviews of Sentencing Order 2003. If people want government to take notice they should take to the streets and make their feelings know there.
Ian Dome
Oh right. And not one of those emails of complaint will be/has been sent by the IDL or BNP or other sad racists just jumping on the bandwagon? I am no fan of the Irish(?) Defence League or the BNP, but you can see what turns people.

Urgent Fury
If people want government to take notice they should take to the streets and make their feelings know there. It's a bit fanciful to think protests in the streets will erupt from this. Anyway, the country has been browbeaten and people are too afraid to complain about these things, immigration etc without fear of being labelled racist, xenophobic etc. And of course Labour brought in religious hatred laws which mean you can go to jail for speaking your mind about Islam.
