Stvoider
Poundland on the Moor - 3 tins of HP baked beans for a quid. Better than a stores own brand but the crown still belongs to Heinz.
shims
I buy several 4-packs of Cross & Blackwell or Branston (I think they are the same parent company) when they are on offer at 99p. Otherwise no baked beans are bought. I wash off most of the tomato sauce and add a little butter and Garam Masala. It's the same with many things - buy in bulk for huge savings. I saw Kinder Bueno (yummy) in a garage shop for 68 pence but you can get three out of one of the cheap shops for 99p or a pound. Having said that I saw litre cartons of juice in Tesco for 99 pence each but their 4-packs were something like £4.15. Obviously they believe (correcty) that enough of us are daft and/ or blaisé enough not to figure it out, or care.

MonkeyLover
To work out the cost of keeping students. 365 tins per year. Plus 100 toilet rolls, plus one very small bar of soap. How much do supermarkets charge for air freshener these days? Didn't know students used soap!
chem1st
4 tins for £1, but the tins are not as big as they used to be. Remember to count the hidden inflation.
