Amaranthus
Just stopped working earlier. Bought new battery and replaced it (yes I bought the correct one), still not working. Ideas? Anyone who fixes this sort of thing?
Rupert_Baehr
Perhaps whatever is causing you to jam your parents' WiFi is getting worse?
Amaranthus
I hope you're not making fun Rupert. I will come to your house and you won't be able to use the internet any more.
saxon51
Try it with the top off, gently squeezing the innards against the buttons whth some kitchen roll for protection.
mafya
Put it in the ignition and turn till the lights come on but don't start the car, then press the lock and unlock buttons on the fob and it may sort it out. I had a similar problem on a car and this worked.

I tried that already, minus the kitchen roll... nothing.

Rupert_Baehr
If you do, I suggest you travel by boat. At the rate you're going, you might be able to knock out 'fly-by-wire' systems by the time you get here. Seriously though, could the fob itself have failed? MY bike came with 2 electronic fobs. Eventually the battery failed in the first one. I changed the battery. It didn't work. I tried the second fob. That worked. I then put the new battery I had bought for the first fob in the second. It still worked. The first fob had packed up (at the time the battery failed.) And replacements are not cheap!
