SPLcoach
Anyone used any solar powered battery chargers? I have bought loads of Duracell AA and AAA rechargeable batteries and they work a treat. I'm now thinking of purchasing a solar powered recharger unit. Can anyone recommend a particular brand and give some comments on how effective they are? Am doing a bit of research online at the mo. nubile
I have the older Pico freeloader, it's a bit pants, and always has been. I've been meaning to replace it for a while now with one of these, but haven't yet got round to it.
choogling
ive just bought some solar powered christmas tree lights as seen in b&q and elseware, complete waste of time the onboard battery needs longer than the available daylight to charge up,i have converted them to mains power supply charging. SPLcoach
this is what I'm thinking. I don't want to buy something which is so useless that I end up charging my batteries with mains.
PeteMorris
In my opinion solar 'anything' at this time of year is pretty much not going to be efficient. Unless you're using a huge solar panel, and even then I can't see it working that well. But hey, I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.
