ElasticMan
England should just go bankrupt and have their debts written off, then start again. People who work would still get paid anyhow. It would only be rich people who suffer which sounds good to me. We're not bankrupt, or even close to bankruptcy. The problem we have is lack of growth - not too much debt. ElasticMan
Er, we are bankrupt. It's just that politicians don't want us to believe that. No, that's what they DO want you to believe, so that they can impose unnecessary spending cuts, privatise our schools and health service, whilst helping to make their rich friends even richer. We are nowhere near bankrupt. National debt isn't particularly high, we can easily afford our repayments, and have the ability to borrow at very favourable rates.
