Israel is in danger of emulating its worst enemies

Recommended Posts

Gaza is under siege.

That's not really true though is it. Since Israel left Gaza it has repeatedly attacked Israel. Thus Gazans cannot work in or trade with Israel. Just like when the Luftwaffe was bombing London we didn't trade with Germany or allow Germans to come and work here.

If Gaza ends up with a government friendly towards Israel then no doubt trade and possibly employment opportunities in Israel may exist. However as it stands the Hamas rulers have a warlike stance towards Israel to Gazans are not welcome there, hardly surprising is it?

You really must stop posting sensible stuff on a CXC thread, he'll only ignore it or try to twist it to his own racist and bigoted views on the subject.

Over to you CXC, do your worst. I'd say "best" but I've yet to see you post anything that could even remotely be said to be good.

Try and live in Gaza for a couple of weeks and see how you feel about israel, (the last colonialist government in the world).

A natural thing to do when you are oppressed is to resist to oppression. That's what palestinians do.

Gaza is independant. Israeli involvement in Gaza is limitted to defending against attacks eminating from Gaza.

In other words, Israel still controls Gazan airspace, Gaza exit and entry points, what foodstuffs go into that tiny territory, who can leave and who can enter...

Yes, I'd say Gaza is pretty much independant from Israel

They don't control the Rafah crossing, so don't control what foodstuffs go into that tiny territory, who can leave and who can enter...

Yes, they've got Egypt to do that; and who controls the other crossings ? - and here's something for you to read up on :

CXC, the problem is unfortunately that having got it's independance Gaza has been used repeatly to attack israel by its Hamas rulers. That clearly has knock on effects for its people as Israel can't sit idly by while hamas and pij continue to launch attacks on Israeli civilians. So certain restrictions have been put in place to contain the threat.

Gaza's future depends upon good relations and above all peace with Israel, sadly that will never happen while Hamas terrorists hold the strip hostage at gunpoint. Israel has done what it can to destroy terrorist infrastructure and to kill as many terrorists as possible but as it's no longer got boots on the ground there is a limit to what it can do.

It's time for the people of Gaza, like so many have done across the arab world, to rise up free themselves from Hamas dictatorship imposed at gunpoint.

If you’re going to claim that, at least post some recent links, Egypt is a little different to what it was in 2007.

Ramallah is a Palestinian city in the central West Bank located 10 kilometres north of Jerusalem it was historically a Christian town, but today Muslims form the majority of the population, with a strong Christian minority.

If the poeple of gaza got their act together they could have something like this Moevenpick Hotel Ramallah

There were democratic elections in Gaza (in 2006); Israel didn't like that so they committed mass murder in 2008/9 to get rid of those elected by the Palestinian people.

Why is the Rafah crossing still not open ? - why are the Palestinians still being besieged by Egypt on one side and Israel on the other ?

Does hotels elsewhere also come with an Occupying force too ?

Or have you deliberately left that bit out ?

On the Israel side probably because they keep killing Israelis and on the Egyptian side maybe because the Egyptians were glad to get shut of them and don’t want them back. They are clearly not liked very much by other Muslims.
