Tony Erikson
Religion is on the decline in UK. The latest British Social Attitudes Surveypaints a grim picture for the future of religion in this country. It shows that the number of people who do not have a religion has risen to 50% (65% for the 18–24 age group). In 1983 one in three did not have a religion, but by 2010 this has become one in two. Since 1983, the number of people who describe themselves as Anglicans has halved from 40% to 20%. From here. Are we simply getting wiser and the majority are now seeing religion as the great divide? Do the majority of us no longer believe in God? Personally I think it's fantastic news.
Tardis
Maybe more and more people are reaching the conclusion that the world is an enigma, a harmless enigma made terrible only by the mad attempts of some to interpret it as though it has some underlying truth.....Such is the nature of religion. Tardis
and what has replaced religeon as a foundation for appropriate behaviour? That's easy! We should all be more like the true paragons of society. Follow the example set by the bankers and politicians.
some guy
Are you sure? It seems Christianity is on the down, but Islam is on the up. Or is it just the media sensationalising everything? I don't agree with religion. Along with money, it's the root of all evil.
Tony Erikson
and what has replaced religeon as a foundation for appropriate behaviour? I'll let Dawkins answer this one on religious morality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjpqeZirDqU I would only be mimicking him.

Money can be the greatest good if used correctly.
