Chez2
It depends on the quality of the items. I have given and received hand made gifts but these were well made items that looked professional and were not done to save money on the price of the gift. Quite a few people I know make greetings cards. The receipients seem to like these better than mass produced cards. They are quite basic when you are first learning but then you improve. You can make them to suit the person and the occasion.
Jon26
Providing it was something that I wanted or was useful, then yes. A friend of mine makes bird tables etc.. for pressies. I once made a rocking horse, that went down well.
nexusdee
No I wouldn't mind at all, but I'm not materialistic & would consider the thought more important
fox20thc
I don't mind. If somebody has gone to the trouble of making something themselves they have thought about me. Making something takes time and planning which is a lot more thoughtful than doing a Xmas eve run along the middle aisle of boots.
Frenchie9920
Completely agree with Nexus and Fox above. A handmade gift takes a lot more thought and effort that something just grabbed off the shelves. I love handmade gifts!
GOOD56kgo
Anyone who receives a home made present, should always remember that the sender will have put some thought and love into it, because it is too much trouble otherwise, so be generous with your thanks.
