If you go up Eccy Road, then the place is thriving with hustle and bustle and people spending money like an MP in a brothel. Whats an average wage in Sheffield? If you take out areas like Dore and Totley, then you are probably looking at £15 pe annum The UK income is distrbuted inequitably with the top 10% taking the lions-you need to look at the median income for true picture.By the way,Dore and Tot no longer harbout the rich.They have loads of crusties but the top dogs are round Millhouses,Nether Edge and Botanical Gardens as these areas are regentrified.There are also deep pockets of wealth in Crabtree,Norfolkpark and Meersbrook but these keep a low profile for tax an legal reasons.
