RJRB
I have listened to Bob Dylans music from the 60s onwards, through his folk and electric phases.I enjoy his music ,lyrics and was greatly looking forward to seeing him at the Arena. The songs were almost unrecognisable, and it was just a self indulgent rip off.
Bilge
He is just taking the mick out of his fans. I went to see him at the arena 5 or so years ago and it was awful - karaoke rockabilly versions of his songs, most of them unrecognisable. I knew I was likely to get this so I was prepared. But I hated it and would now close the curtains if he was playing at the bottom of my garden. It's up to him if that's what he wants his fans to think of him. Compare that approach with going to see Paul McCartney or Neil Young.
BarryRiley
I saw Guns and Roses at the Arena a while back. Axl walked off sage in a huff about 15 times complaining that the microphone made him sound like he was singing through a kazoo. I assume he's never listened to any of his own records

If you listen to older live recordings like Before the Flood ('74, according to google) most of the songs are totally different from their recorded versions. He's spent most of his career re-working old material, often to the point of unrecognisability... S'pose he wrote them, he can muck about with them all he likes...! FatDave
I'd have been gutted if I'd seen a legend like Dylan and he was cack. I'll add a possitive note though; went to Glastonbury in 2000 when Bowie was headlining, and it was the greatest gig I've ever seen.
