chunky1 Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 I am looing for a chap named Derek Pringle. The only definate information i have is his name. Other information is i think he was probabaly born around 1965 give or take afew years, i know he lived on the park hill flats around 1984 and frequented the pubs there. The reason for the search is genuine to give a little more detail i know derek has two children that he lost contact with when they were very young due to his childrens mum passing away one of those children now an adult with children of her own would like to find her biological dad so any help would be appreciated. hillsbro Posted December 20, 2011 Share Posted December 20, 2011 Hi chunky1 - just looking at the births index, I was unable to find a Derek Pringle born in the Sheffield area around 1965. Do you know if he was born locally? In the index, most of the births registered in that name were in the North-East or in Lancashire (for example, the only Derek Pringle whose birth was registered in 1965 was born in "Northumberland Central"). Looking at the 2004 census return (which I have on a CD) I was also unable to find a Derek Pringle in South Yorkshire. Do you know if he had a middle name? chunky1 Posted December 20, 2011 Author Share Posted December 20, 2011 hi hillsbro - not sure of where he was born i belive his parents were landlord/lady of a pub in rotherham around the 1984 time not sure which pub so we have even searched pubs on line with no link. Its all very vague, we have contacted salvation army and we can appreciate its difficult without exact dates i was hoping that maybe some one on here maybe who lived on parkhill around the right time or frequented the pubs may remember him. We dont even know his exact year of birth its around 1965 maybe a year or 2 before and unsure of middle name either. I have also looked at the birth certificate of my the individual i am helping and derek pringle is registered on there as being born in ayshire so she is trying to check the electoral registers etc for scotland hopefully we will get somewhere again you help is very much appreciated.
