Dan_R Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 What do people think about the train ticket hike in prices in the new Year? In some cases prices will rise by 9.2%. I usually get the train from Penistone to Sheffield for work unless I am on an early or late shift as it is slightly cheaper than driving and less hassle (traffic/parking etc). However, if prices go up a fair whack I think I may just stick to the car. The train's are very old and not very reliable and are also late a fair bit, not to mention the overcrowding. Will people continue to use a service where the price rises but the service dosn't improve? Do some people have no choice? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
