Yeah, try landing on the sea with 12ft waves in strong winds, little ones in tow too! It's just what they do... I don't know what they are, but I suspect not 'true' seaguls. I don't think there's any such thing really as a "sea gull". they 're all just gulls in my book. EnglishTalk Posted December 22, 2011 Share Posted December 22, 2011 For sure you saw a gull - they adapt to everything including pinching your food while waiting for the ferry to leave. In spain i have seen them drinking from water ashtrays. Over in Ireland, crows rule the roost, tree or whatever. Seashore, dumps, house tops and even the odd tree are taken by them.
