arthurseaton
Apologies for resurrecting an old post but I was wondering if the situation has improved regarding a decent, preferably real ale pub in the city centre to go to watch the football. At the moment I tend to watch matches in the Banner but would prefer somewhere central. Any ideas?

Cavendish on West Street but not sure about the real ale in there. The best one for football is Champs but that is on Ecclesall Road though, and they have a few real ales. jemson
The Queens Head is nice and has games on. Not sure whether they have Sky, BT or whatever.
old_queen
Only BT - so Saturday 12.45pm Premier League game, all FA Cup matches plus German, Italian and French Leagues... Tried Sky last a year and for £1.200 a month is not worth it...
