"Big Man" Charged for throwing yob off

Recommended Posts

Indeed, I've been saying for years that having the criminal age of consent as low as 10 is a waste of time IMO, the law still won't do anything to minors, cos of some daft "human rights" law that won't let them.

He wasn't a minor Rich, he is a man in the eyes of the law. Typical of today, when they want to go to pub or get married they are adults but when somebody challenges their abusive actions they suddenly turn into little boys and the poor so and so who had the effrontery to challenge his moronic behaviour is probably going to get dragged through courts now. The CPS wants a kick up the jacksie

The conductor was out of order. The lad had paid for two journeys but had bought two tickets in the same direction instead of a return. He could have given his name and address (Regulation of Railways Act 1889 Section 5).

And if "Big Man" decides to take the law into his own hands he gets what he deserves.

Garbage, there is nowhere that says that is the case. He's a university student, can't he read. If it had been case where was his other ticket? They don't take them off you once you've completed your journey. He only had one ticket and was trying to defraud railway and if that's the standard of todays students we are in big trouble

This article explains what happened= http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2073929/Big-Man-Alan-Pollock-threw-fare-dodger-Sam-Main-train-defended-father.html

The lad is claiming he did buy tickets.

The lad was rude and offensive and didn't explain properly if his story is truthful.

He said: 'He was sitting on the train when he noticed both tickets were for Polmont to Edinburgh Park, but he decided to concentrate on his exam and explain the mix-up to the inspector on the train home.

'After his exam he went out for a few drinks. He got on the train and everyone's seen the video, but he's no fare dodger, he was just sold the wrong ticket and the inspector's decided he's off at Linlithgow.

Sign like this have been all over the place for years, and quite rightly so...

A ScotRail spokesman said: 'While we welcome the public’s support of our zero-tolerance stance on anti-social behaviour, our staff are trained in conflict management and we do not expect members of the public to take matters into their own hands.

'We are investigating the incident, which appears to show a person travelling without a valid ticket, refusing to pay for the journey, and swearing at a staff member in full view of customers.'

The lad needs to produce both tickets otherwise it's his fault for not being pre-emptive and clearing the mistake before becoming abusive!

First offence usually gets a slap on the wrist, wonder if the yob was charged with not having a ticket?

That sounds like a crock....he's had time to come up with his excuses and has blamed

a) The person who sold him his ticket for getting it wrong, and

b) Diabetes.

Garbage.

I think a sober jury with all the facts and a knowledge of the context will reach a reasoned decision-Sheffield Forum is a kangaroo court packed with bigots who seem to condone interfering bullies.

You're right, we should promote and congratulate people who are rude and abusive publicaly when they are out of order.

Quite so, especially the condoning interfering bullies part.
