UK economic growth revised up

I know some on here would love for the economy to crash and others have talked down the economic recovery, but maybe it’s time we started talking it up and looking to growth rather than trying to predict something that benefits no one.

The UK economy has grown more than expected. It’s only by a little but it’s still movement in the right direction. I know this will not come as good news to the labourite socialist, thatcher hating, benefit munching, loony lefties on here, but you can’t deny it’s a positive bit of news about how the UK is fairing at present.

 

Well done to the government. I don't agree with everything you have done, but you are doing right by the UK by standing up for us in Europe and reversing the damage done by the one eyed idiot and his hypocrite cronies.

 

Bring on the usual suspects who will claim black is white and deny this is good news. Its only bad news for them!

What? The UK economy has only grown for this quarter, overall for the year our economy is either going to be stagnant or slide back into recession.

 

Osbourne's economic policies are starting to make Browns look sane (thats not a good thing).

Have a look in the property sections there are 3-4 people still waiting for the property market to halve, regardless of the growth.

Revised up 0.1% for one quarter

Revised down 0.1% for another

Unchanged at 0.5% Growth for the year

Recession still expected

 

It's the last bit we need to be concerned with rather than minimal adjustments.

Along the lines of "a broken clock still tells the right time at least twice a day", there have been "3-4 people still waiting for the property market to halve" for several years, tbh.

 

Not that I don't still expect the property market to take a bloody nose, mind (and bearing in mind that I bought in late 2009 as well, in line for the said bloody nose with everyone else, so it's not as if I'm particularly biased when saying all this).

Surely even an accurate prediction would help people more than a optimistic prediction that is incorrect.
