UK economic growth revised up

So what’s so bad about no growth?

Nothing.

It's a price worth paying - strip out the dead wood.

Blame the unemployed - impose austerity.

Scorch the land - let the new growth flourish.

Await the next boom - and revel in the adulation received from the City of London Corporation.

That is, if your name is David Cameron or George Osborne.

For the rest of us it means years of more misery - remember we still have another housing crash to contend with; with growth will come another bout of inflation - much higher than the last. And all the years of Mervyn King sticking his head in the sand will come home to roost with rocketing interest rates.

How else will living standards rise, if not through economic growth?

We could try an equal distribution of the resources available.

Oh sorry that's like some fanciful utopian ideal isn't it?

Better keep things as they are so we carry on watching our resources sailing away on the slow boat to China, while the consuming of tat and the stranglehold of debt consumes our well being.

What? The UK economy has only grown for this quarter, overall for the year our economy is either going to be stagnant or slide back into recession.

Osbourne's economic policies are starting to make Browns look sane (thats not a good thing).

Just quoting myself for truth. Double Dip
