Anglersvista
'Compo' culture strikes again, it's all gone wrong, to the dogs, hell in a handcart. It's only going to get worse.

I don't really see how it can get any worse than a warning on eggs saying they might contain eggs.
Anglersvista
Oh believe me, warnings that eggs contain eggs is the start of a very slippery slope.
Plain Talker
Would bottles of milk, with the warning "contains milk", do you? Some 20 years ago, I bought a "newborn" gift-set for a Friend who had just given birth. It had bottles, dummies, rattles bibs etc, and contained the warning "not for children under 3 years old"!!! upinwath
Eggs may be eggs but peanuts are not peas or nuts. Thet're more akin to a potato in so much as they're a root crop.
upinwath
A peanut is a bean, isn't it? (If I remember my QI correctly ) They are but I wanted to paint a picture of how they grow so a potato seemed like a good example.
boyfriday
We bought a box of After Eight mints, emblazoned with a big white sticker proclaiming the contents 'might NOT contain mint', particularly strange as the ingredients include peppermint oil!
