xenia
My mum (now 90) says that she remembers seeing photos of Lord Billy Lee of the Travellers on the Moor. She said that it had polished metal table tops, and was full of tropical plants. That is was a very classy pub.
junction1
The Blue Bell was built in 1710 The Mulberry was built in 1825 I cant find a date as yet for the Travellers or as it was known Billy Lees I suspect it was the middle of the 1800s as prior to that it was as its name suggests just a track on the "Moor" You have very likely inadvertently answered my question regarding The Travellers, I reckon that it started off as a farm house with stabling, and evolved into a coaching inn.
