Forumosaurus Posted December 25, 2011 Share Posted December 25, 2011 I think in the story you're referring to, the woman had used hair dyes for many years and had never had a reaction, and she used it on this occasion and suddenly she had a massive reaction. The problem is that people become complacent, and think if they've used it once and they were fine, they're safe, which is obviously not the case. What I would say is, don't worry about it too much, but always do the patch test, even if it's the same brand, always do the test whenever you go to dye your hair again. If you have no reaction you will be entirely safe. The law is really stringent and if it was of any danger for you, it wouldn't be allowed to be sold.
