bullerboY
Do you think that this place is good value or a rip off.
ab6262
look nice from the outside and the cakes, sandwiches look great and large with a price to match reminds me of places in leeds, Manchester and London..............oh yes Sheffield is not either....once the novelty wears off i think they might have to review their prices for sheffield centre, also value is not what you pay its what you get. going to try it this week
Andy C
Not been in yet but looked through the window. I suspect the answer will be if you want cheap buns, go to Greggs. If you want to sit in a nice place and have a fine quality cake and a good cup of coffee served by a waitress, and pay the premium this attracts, then Valierie is for you. irenewilde
Do you think that this place is good value or a rip off. It is overpriced but it's a lovely place where you can sit and have a nice cake or light meal. Sheffield has been long overdue a place like this. The problem is the waiting staff who are a bit clueless - confusion in taking a simple order, then tried to take my plate before I'd finished but after that we waited so long for them to come and ask us if we wanted anything else we didn't have time for a cake. A lady also came in with 7 loud, disruptive children just so they could all use the toilet. I'm assuming there aren't many toilets as they were in the cafe for a long time and one of them screamed the entire time. I think the staff should have suggested they use John Lewis a couple of doors away. They'd only been open a week when we used them - I hope any teething troubles will be ironed out eventually. And the coffee is lovely!

Nagel
The original Patisserie Valerie is something of an institution in Old Compton Street in Soho and it was established by French refugees from religious persecution, the Hugenots. It's now a franchise with lots of branches around the country. I went past today and it looked pretty authentic and tempting.

hardworker
£3.25 for a chocolate eclair! It certainly feels like Paris for prices.
