topdog Posted December 28, 2011 Share Posted December 28, 2011 This. If it were me I'd go Woodhead/Snake - M67 - M60 south - M56 - A557, over the runcorn bridge and onto the Speke road to Airport. Thumbs up for this route from me too, went to Liverpool airport back in January and it was a surprisingly stress-free journey. alchresearch Posted December 28, 2011 Share Posted December 28, 2011 As a "local" I'd also recommend Snake, M67, M60 round Stockport then M56 to Runcorn - far smoother and quicker than the M62 which has roadworks and long camera'd 50 mph limits on at least four sections from Leeds to Warrington.
