Redyam
Yes, it is the end of the year when all the important questions are asked: Do you have carrots that are cut into circular discs, or are they chopped into short sticks ?? I'm asking this because I never chop my carrots into circles, they are always batons. They just seem much more appetising! Must be because of traumatic memories from my childhood when I was force fed big chunky circular carrots - -shudders-.
Ms Macbeth
In casseroles I leave them round, but if they are being served as a separate veg, batons every time.

ampersand
depends who I'm cooking for - if it's the girlfriend & kids then they're circles because I find that quicker - if we're having a bit of a do then they're usually batons but that's just because i can be a bit poncey sometimes I would say, however, that, eating out I usually find batons have been overcooked
ANGELFIRE1
No matter if they are batons or circles, when cooked to taste, drain em, chop em up with a knife in the pan, and stick a LARGE nob of butter in there, yum yum. Angel.
