Any cinemas worth going to

No fantastic ones i am afraid, the best you are gonna get is cineworld down at centertainment, it is the biggest and has the most choice. Its not without its faults though although ticket prices are quit cheap compared to some, the drinks and extras make up for it, very over priced.

There is also the odeon in town and warner brothers in meadowhall, last time i went there the sound packed up so i got free tickets to see another film. If you prefer more arty films you could go to the showroom which is nice or if you are a student sheffield uni has a small cinema.

Hope that helps

yes, it was nice comfy screens

get lots of idiots there though.

and there is a kind of herd mentality about it.

average price

loads of restararnts around it

great bar

yeah food is a bit pricey, but they'll give you a layer of salted then sweat then salted then sweat then salted popcorn.

i've always had a great time there (apart from a few crappy films that my bird has made me watch)

Indeed. For blockbuster films, and a small selection of indie or foreign films, then Cineworld has the biggest selection (and I'm not just saying that 'cos I work there....even before I worked there I would only go there)

If you want more arthouse/indie/foreign films then Showroom is great. They have a packed programme each week, and if you pick up one of their guides you can plan quite a nice month of film watching. I also recommend the food there - especially the chocolate mousse, which is to die for!
