janie48
He's on a wind-up that's all. I bet the movie isn't even the slighest bit accurate. It also wouldn't surprise me if the evil old hag has been dead for a while but it's not been releashed to the press because it would course quite a bit of violence. i seem to be an easy target for the "wind-up" posters. i do suspect though that you are a bit of a "wind-up merchant" yourself? AJ sheffield
Do you think everyone in South Yorkshire should boycott the Thatcher film being shown in the the New Year to make the Conservaties and the film makers that there is still bitterness here to what she did at the time. Grandad.Malky
She was so unpopular that she won all three general elections that she fought. It . You my friend are a fool ………. Happy new year. When you have a recession and record unemployment levels there is nothing like spanking the Arggies to whip up a bid of national pride and a new term in office. Thatcher's popularity waned amid recession and high unemployment, until economic recovery and the 1982 Falklands War brought a resurgence of support resulting in her re-election in 1983. Thatcher was re-elected for a third term in 1987, but her Community Charge was widely unpopular and her views on the European Community were not shared by others in her Cabinet. She resigned as Prime Minister and party leader in November 1990

They asked for it pal. She didn't start it but she wouldn't roll over as Labour would most certainly have.
