Tony Erikson
Earlier someone posted a video regarding some US soldiers blowing up an improvised explosive device whilst a dog was next to it. Naturally some people find this horrific. Naturally some of us don't find it horrific. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2080702/Horror-U-S-soldiers-blow-dog-Iraq-film-it.html The page and video is above. Knowing that your team could be in danger, the device needed destroying and you are trained to destroy things, what would you have done? would you? Send a soldier in to remove the dog: This could result in the soldier being blown up. Wait for dog to move: This could have resulted on the squad being ambushed. Would you wait around in a war zone? Don't detonate the IED as no-one wants to hurt a dog: This could result in a human some weeks later unknowingly triggering the device. Shoot the dog: I suppose they could have put the dog down before the IED did. I imagine the IED was far quicker and less painful though.
AJ sheffield
The dog means nothing when compared to human lives, in fact I'd rather blow all the dogs in the world up rather than have one single innocent person die.
MrSmith
They could have fired a shot which may have frightened the dog away but may have also given away their position. They could have thrown a rock at the dog but during the time they wasted a child might have ran round the corner and detonated the IED. There were any number of things they could have done but only the people there at the time could judge the best cause of action.

Now you’re just being silly most dogs are more important than most humans.
Tony Erikson
Someone on here must know what these horrific soldiers in a war zone could have done to save the dog, blow the IDE and return home safely.

Halibut
Yes the life of many dogs is far more important than the life of many humans. What a sick individual you appear to be. Weird.
Tony Erikson
What a sick individual you appear to be. Weird. Rather than name calling Halibut, what would you have done? You are very critical yet you offer no solution.
