Agent Orange
With 2.6 million out of work why don't the unemployed start their own businesses? How hard can it be? I think the hardest part is getting financial assistance. Other than that, I would have thought the hardest part of being self employed would be trying to keep afloat. MrSmith
With 2.6 million out of work why don't the unemployed start their own businesses? How hard can it be? Because it’s not as easy as it sounds and many self employed businesses fail after considerable investment, so you could lose more than you stand to gain. vinyl
Because it’s not as easy as it sounds and many self employed businesses fail after considerable investment, so you could lose more than you stand to gain. So why are so many people who have jobs contemptuous of the business that they work for?
fruitisbad
They could team up and offer gardening services I have the practical skills and knowledge to do this, however I don't have a van or many tools. Also it is a service that there is already a fair ammount of competition, and your usual client base for weekly maintenence is also feeling the pinch. What a stupid thread. What sort of person contributes to a thread that he considers stupid? I know, a stupid one with too much time on his hands. :hihi:

Then start something else. Do you have a computer and an internet? Obviously you do - then you only need one other thing - your imagination. Thats the only tool you need.
