SILLY
Yes it was a great smell. I can't say the same about the brewery smell of hops though that used to make me feel sick.

SILLY
Nothing wrong with the beer just don't like the smell of the brewing process. Still there is nothing left to smell now and that is sad.
Soulgirl75
Oooh the brewery always smelled of shreddies!
mikebatty
How much I agree with you . The process has been replaced with so many chemicals that you don't get the stink , nor so much of the sting any more .
mikebatty
Oooh the brewery always smelled of shreddies! .There was never a smell at Totley , but e-ba- gum , the beer at the Cross Scythes was good . That reminds me of a comment of Jimmy Savile in an interview with Yorkshire Post.-Mugabe [Zimbabwe President ?] -is an ex-pat yorkshireman. Spell his name out in reverse and what do you have -e-ba-gum. On that note from a gem. Enjoy a pint in the Cross Scythes .
