Mecky
Why didn't the OP start a thread about how most media have it in for the current government?
LaughingCow
It's hardly news, every time Labour politicians get their paws on the budget they come close to bankrupting the country, then sit back and watch their blinkered followers blame the Tories for putting it right afterwards. vinyl
Go on cry! I think Miliband made a new year resolution to be even less relevant than last year.
Tony
That doesn't make sense, are you telling me the tories voted against the attack on Iraq? You'd have voted for it if you'd been given the Dodgy Dossier. The document discloses that his military planning allows for some of the WMD to be ready within 45 minutes of an order to use them. taxman
You'd have voted for it if you'd been given the Dodgy Dossier. Funny that the many hundreds of thousands who demonstrated against the war saw through the dodgy dossier though isn't it? When the Tories didn't. The Lib Dems also attended the same debate and opposed the war. All this pretending that the Tories were somehow "tricked" into supporting the war doesn't wash. The protests were straight forward post-Afghanistan anti-war protests, not don't fight because the dossier is dodgy protests. As for the Lib Dems, he said this before the Iraq war We can also agree that Saddam Hussein most certainly has chemical and biological weapons and is working towards a nuclear capability. The dossier contains confirmation of information that we either knew or most certainly should have been willing to assume. Don't kid yourself or anyone else - Labour lied in order to justify going to war, and we know it. Don't believe the lies being peddled that it was anyone else's fault. This sort of stuff explains the poll result in the OP. To rub a little salt into some wounds this link is uncomfortable reading. http://ukpollingreport.co.uk/images/eoygraph3.gif In case you can't bear to look, it says that most people say that Labour is to blame for the cuts Ouch ! ElasticMan
It seems to be the illusion that the 2 Eds seem to want to peddle. No its not. The only illusion here is the economically illiterate one of comparing national debt to a personal credit card. It's a totally bogus comparison.
