Rupert_Baehr
If you want to travel from Dover, Speed Ferries might be worth a look.
neeeeeeeeeek
Cheers for that, just looked at them and Dover to Calais is under £150, but Dover is a pain, then a 5 hour drive the other side!
Guest sibon
Could cut out the Kent thing and just get her to move to Brittany! Then you'd find it difficult to find somewhere to stop off on your way to Brittany. As an alternative solution, have you thought about Normandy? You can drive that in a day from Sheffield, using the Dover Calais ferry. There are some really beautiful unspoilt bits of Normandy and masses of history, especially WWII. neeeeeeeeeek
Was not me who brought up the Brittany thing in the first place but I shall suggest it!!
Guest sibon
Honfleur, Barfleur and the Bocage are very nice. If you go that far, it is easy to take a daytrip over to Brittany. You could pop into Mont St Michel from there. If you do, you could also visit my favourite place in France, Alligator Bay
