Who Want's Fake Boobs Anyways? David Cameron?

Recommended Posts

No he didn't.

The more this thread goes on, the more it begins to look like people are starting with the axiom that the Tories are evil and then trying to spin the story to fit.

THE TORIES ARE EVIL, I have never met a good one. Labour are well intentioned but naieve. Lib Dems are just 'sitting on the fence, wishy washy plonkers' but Tories are in it for themselves and their paymasters, and the rest can go to hell.

When it comes to health issues the safest thing Cameron could do is keep his mouth shut.

Well, at least you come at the issue from a balanced, considered perspective.

The Government just announced that IF a private clinic refuses to remove / replace or isn't in business any more that the NHS will remove (not replace) PIP implants. They will then pursue the clinic for the costs.

Anyone who's had implants on the NHS will be able to have them replaced.

That looks like as good an outcome as anyone could expect.

Harley Medical Group do make a good argument (BBC), although it doesn't sit well that they were happy to put them in but unwilling to take them out.

"We're only sitting here today because the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), [the government's] own regulatory authority, has approved these implants and obviously hasn't done their proper checking."

All this stuff about fake boobs in France and over here. Why do women want blown up boobs anyways? I for one, not really bothered about ladies with plastic (and dodgy chemical boobs) but it appears Cameron is. He won't give them refunds.

By 'Cameron', you mean HM Government.

By 'HM Government', you mean taxpayers.

If a patient received defective treatment, there's a very easy solution: damages for breach of contract.
